PHILIPSBURG, St. Maarten – Two robbery suspects are now in police custody.
The vigilance of the police patrols in Philipsburg have been accredited for this latest arrest.
The police spokesman Inspector Steven Carty confirmed to our newsroom that the suspects were acting suspicious and one of the suspects were intercepted in town while the other tried to escape and was arrested in the vicinity of the festival village.
An investigation is now ongoing to determine the current and past suspected criminal activities of the two detained suspects.
