It was agreed that urgent action is needed.

Prime Minister Romeo Marlin said, “I am elated to welcome the World Bank to Sint Maarten as this symbolizes the continuation of the process of accessing the much needed Reconstruction Funds that has been available to Sint Maarten. This Council of Ministers are eager to bring relief to the people of Sint Maarten and return Sint Maarten to its position as a beacon of prosperity.”

Following a decision of the Romeo-Marlin Cabinet earlier this week, a team of experts of the World Bank will start its preparatory activities on Monday.
