Philipsburg, Sint Maarten —  Massachusetts-based everythingstmaarten.com, founded 23 years ago as a writing sample by Plymouth Mass.-based PR / Marketing / Web company JMB Communications, celebrates things by giving away Sint Maarten vacations. On Tuesday, August 4, they’ll give away three vacations to celebrate publication of the 1000th edition of SXM Weekly News, the tourist-oriented email St. Maarten / St. Martin newsletter that reaches over 240,000 readers worldwide.

Tuesday morning, as the vacations are given away on Island92 radio between 930 am and 11 am, JMB will announce “Feel Alive in Four Point Five,” a new seven-vacation giveaway that will celebrate everythingsxm.com / everythingstmaarten.com surpassing 4.5-million site visits, which is expected to happen early next year. The vacations will be given away early in 2016.

The SXM vacations are at a variety of resorts across the island – from beach hotels to hilltop resorts – and even a naturist resort on the French Side of the island.

Ironically, the site was never intended for public consumption. A freelance writer, JMB owner Jeff Berger wanted to post an eclectic collection of writing samples when he launched his business website in 1993 – and a brief story about St. Maarten was among its writing samples. When search engines appeared, St. Maarten businesses mentioned in Berger’s story started getting business from it, and “Everything St. Maarten” was born. It is now one of the most popular island websites.

The prizes in the new seven-vacation giveaway include vacations at Mary’s Boon Beach Plantation; Oyster Bay Beach Resort; La Vista or La Vista Beach; Summit Resort; Baker’s Suites;  Club Fantastico; and either Hotel L’Esplanade or Le Petit Hotel or Blue Pelican. A car rental, sailing, jewelry, a number of dinners for two, and more prizes are expected to be added.

Entries for the giveaway will be accepted through a link appearing in all upcoming editions of SXM Weekly News, which is free. Subscribe at www.everythingsxm.com
